Pictures Corporation is a creative boutique founded by Producer/Director
Sara Nichols in 1995.
A Grammy nominated
director, Nichols has produced and directed for major record
labels (Columbia, Arista, Warner Brothers, RCA, and Jive)
and television outlets (Nickelodeon, MTV, ABC and NBC), beginning
her career at Nickelodeon where she produced 90 episodes of
its first music series and then onto MTV as a producer.
Nichols has produced
and directed numerous TV commercials, music videos, and live
music shows including the first music special for the PAX
network entitled Music From The Heart featuring Nancy Wilson
(of Heart) and Kenny Lattimore, with performances by Alicia
Keys, Harry Connick, Jr., Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, and James
Taylor.
Other projects have
included Your #1 Video Requests, a home video for Jive Records
and McDonalds featuring Britney Spears and NSYNC which sold
over 8 million copies, Blues Traveler Live at the Palace (A&M
Records), The Billboard Latin Music Awards (Automatic), The
Fugees Bootleg Versions (Sony Music), and, at the onset of
the Latin explosion, the syndicated series Mi Gente, My People
on NBC, which featured the biggest names in Latin entertainment,
including Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Shakira, and Mark
Anthony.
Blending top-notch
musical talent with the booming reality genre, Nichols created
and sold an original series Total Access 24/7 to Fox Family.
Total Access was one of only two series picked up by ABC/Disney
when it acquired the channel and became ABC Family. Total
Access 24/7 brought access into the day-to-day lives of \the
hottest young stars in the entertainment industry, including
Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Destiny's Child, No Doubt, Usher,
Pink, Tony Hawk and the casts of Spy Kids 2, Dawson's Creek
and Malcolm in the Middle.
In 2003, Sara teamed
with Granada America to launch the MTV series Room Raiders.
Room Raiders continues to garner high ratings in its timeslot
and is one of the few strip series currently on MTV. Nichols
ran the series for the first two seasons, totalling 63 episodes.
In 2004, Nichols got back to the music,
producing Britney Spears: In The Zone DVD, Janet Jackson:
Damita Jo DVD, Soul Train awards tribute to Janet Jackson,
and spots for Courtney Love and Britney Spears AND creatived
the first DVD for multi-platinum rock band Evanescence, "anywhere
but home" which featured a live concert shot in Paris,
behind the scenes with the band on their first tour and unique
graphics designed by the UK's Hello Charlie.
Nichols and the
Emotional team rang in the holidays with the Gottis, producing
two special episodes of GROWING UP GOTTI for A&E/GRB.
"Oh My Gotti, My Dinner With Peter" and "A
Very Gotti Christmas" In 2005, Nichols began developing
a scripted series, continued with various music projects,
and sought out opportunities to do more character-driven reality.
The Gastineau Girls called, and in August, Nichols was hired
to Executive Produce and re-vamp Season 2 for E!/True Entertainment
(an Endemol company).
